"Understanding HIPAA Communications"

A compilation of charts and explanations explaining the HIPAA Transactions and Code Sets (TCS) rules and regulations. This book describes a seven level foundational communications model, and then Practice sections allow the reader to follow the model to determine where and where not to apply HIPAA TCS. For reference, there's an appendix containing a combination of both the original TCS final rule and the corrected TCS addenda final rule for the adopted code sets and transactions; i.e., a merged Title 45 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 162, Subparts J through R.
